Was this dude trying to get zero applicants? As contemporary culture continues to grapple with and redefine our collective approach to reforming toxic work environments, one has to wonder what possessed this job poster to boldly compile all the things you should not say about how you treat your employees and put them together as you search for a new employee. Obviously, this guy is not a genius, or as he would spell it, "geneius."
Before we move on to picking apart why this job posting so heavily misses all the marks, let's take a moment to consider what job seekers are looking for online these days. First comes first, people want transparency. That applies to salary, daily expectations, remote vs. hybrid vs. fully in-person, etc. People need that information from the get-go; otherwise, everyone's time will be wasted. Next, people want managers and supervisors who are responsible and competent but won't watch you like a hawk or enforce strange rules. Finally, people want support when they need it and space to do their work independently when they want it. Seems pretty straightforward to us, but as we said, this dude totally missed the mark.
